My eyeshadow palette has landed!

I’m am so excited to launch my new 9 colour eyeshadow palette. The colours have been created to suit all eye colours and are all all matte except for one, luxurious champagne shimmer shade.

I was so sick of telling my customers to try and find matte eyeshadow palettes and they’d have to spend a whole heap of money only to find a they wouldn’t use half the shades (and ceratinly not that random colour everyone seems to throw in a neutral palette!)

This palette has a range of neutral colours perfect for enhancing different eye colours and a gorgeous, universal champagne shimmer.

The palette is talk free as well so you are getting quality, highly pigmented colours!

I absolutely love my new palette adn can’t wait for you to try it.

Why not pair it up with my 7 piece brush set for Mother’s Day coming up? I have gift vouchers available too if you’re not sure what to get Mum.

New products have arrived!

I am beyond excited to announce that my custom designed brush set is finally available for purchase! This has been in the works for a long time. I wanted to ensure it suited my clients’ needs and was expertly crafted to my high standards. I am so proud of the end product.

The brush set is made up of seven brushes (powder, foundation, concealer, large eyeshadow, small eyeshadow, brow/liner, mascara/brow) and includes a custom designed case and brush guide.

I hope you enjoy the brush set as much as I do!

Christmas break

I am having a little break over the holiday period. I will be off from Sunday 17th December and will return to work Monday 8th January.

I will still process vouchers up until Christmas. I will be checking my emails periodically but this year, I am really going to try and put the computer and phone away so please be patient.

Thank you so much to all my clients who have supported me throughout 2023. It was so lovely to see so many of you again and again throughout the year (and some back again for their year 12 formal!) There are some exciting new things coming for 2024!

Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all! I hope you all have a wonderful break and get some time with family and friends.

Transgender makeup guide is coming!

I am so excited to share that I have created a guide for the transgender community and those looking to feminise their look - “ The feminine face- basic steps towards creating a more feminine-looking face with the use of makeup”.

This guide takes you step by step through what makes a face more masculine and how to make it more feminine with the use of makeup. I have made illustrations and had a lovely model so there are two visual mediums available to assist on your journey.

There are plenty of tips and tricks throughout to ensure you get the best out of your makeup application.

I am in the very final stages of drafts (my final, final, final….:)

If you, or anyone you know, wishes to learn how to make your face more feminie using makeup, please spread the word! I’m so excited to share this with you!

Watch this space!

Transgender makeup lessons

I have been getting a whole heap of enquiries asking if I can do teach people who are transitioning or are transgender. I have taught many lessons, mainly male to female transgender, but can also show you techniques to make the face appear more masculine if you are transitioning/have transitioned from female to male. Even the skin texture of males is very different to females and if you use certain products, the texture and larger pores can be accentuated (argh!) If you are happy to talk with me openly, we can crack open the tips, tricks and techniques you can use to accentuate the feminine or masculine. If you are shy, still working on your journey, or would rather not talk so openly, that’s ok too! Just let me know when you enquire so I can be sure to respect your wishes.

Melbourne Cup Makeup, Formal makeup and Christmas Party makeup

I can’t believe it, but we’re coming into the social season already! I have been inundated with enquiries for formal makeup (with many enquiries people who I had the pleasure of doing their makeup for year 10 who are now in year 12!) and as some business get organised, the Christmas party makeup bookings are coming in too. Melbourne Cup makeup applications are not too far away either. It’s so lovely to see so many regular faces around the Spring Racing Carnival as well. I love this time of year.

If you have an event coming up, best to enquire at my contact page so we can have you looking and feeling your best :)

Photoshoot makeup

I have had the pleasure of being asked to do hair and makeup for numerous dance photoshoots with Everline Imagery. The photos Jaqueline creates are phenomenal! The dancers bring movement, poise and creativity to every photo and the final images are such a beautiful expression of art. I’d highly recommend you check out her instagram to see her work - just stunning!

Mother's Day is this Sunday 8th May

I have gift vouchers available for Mum or your special person this Mother’s Day. They can be for an open amount, a makeup application, or any lessons. If you’ve left it to the last minute, my digital gift vouchers mean I can process and email them to you very quickly. Treat Mum and allow her some time to relax and feel her best. Sometimes Mums just need a good sit down so why not have that sit in my makeup chair and leave feeling fabulous?!

Contact me arrange a voucher for your special person this Mother’s Day :)

Corporate headshots and corporate branding

It must be the time of year for updating headshots and getting ready for the year ahead in the corporate world and on social media. I have had a heap of clients come to my studio for their corporate headshot, be it for an update, or some that had started a new job and needed to be added to a website. I also have some clients doing their photoshoots and filming for their business or personal branding which can include social media. I too recently updated my photo as I think a 10 year old photo pre 2 kids, I very highly doubt I can get away with the fresh, youthful face I used to have haha!

If you do a refresh each year, hold on to every single photo you can - as a graphic designer I can tell you it pays to have a heap of your own stock imagery for use in books, social media and, well, anywhere really! Always keep them on hand on a hard drive at least.

If it’s time to updated your headshot, please get in touch so we can have you looking professional and in line with your branding.

Newcastle makeup lessons

I’ve been busy hosting makeup lessons of late so I thought I’d answer some FAQ’s:

Where are they held? The makeup lesson is held at my little home studio in Charlestown.

What do I bring? Bring along any makeup or tools you own. I have clients bring multiple bags of makeup through to 2 or 3 items. It doesn’t matter how much you own or how experienced you are, it helps me understand what we need to go through and what products would suit your needs.

Should I chose the one or two hour lesson? The hour lesson goes by very quickly so I usually recommend this lesson to those who just want to focus on a few things in particular. The two hour makeup class is great for those who want to go step by step through their application.

Do I come with makeup on? No, please come with a fresh face (washed and moisturised) so we can spend our time learning, not removing your makeup.

Should I go shopping and buy products to bring to the makeup class? No, I use my kit and talk about different products and most clients leave with a shopping list of sorts.

I find places like Mecca and Sephora intimidating, can you help? Absolutely! I write a list of exactly what you need to ask for so you can walk in with confidence. Most of the girls at Charlestown and Kotara Mecca know my business and they are happy for you to just hand over my list. The girls at Mecca in particular are more than happy to help you find the perfect colour and sit you down for a consultation regardless of your age or stage or gender.

If you have any questions about makeup lessons or applications, please feel free to contact me through the contact page on my website.
