*How do I know if my contrast is high or low?

Take a black and white photo of yourself in even lighting. Do your features all blend and you notice your whole face at once? (like the picture on the left- low contrast). Or do you notice each individual feature i.e. eyes, brows, hair, lips? (like the picture on the right- high contrast).

How do I know if a colour is right for me when trying them on?

Ask yourself-
1- Do you instantly not like the colour on you? (yes? wrong colour)
2- Does it enhance my natural features? (yes? Right colour)
3- Do you notice the colour first, before the person? (yes? Wrong colour)
4- Does it bring out things on my face I would rather hide like pigmentation or redness? (yes? wrong colour)
